Welcome!  I recently joined NC State University as an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department.  I am also affiliated with the Translational Predictive Biology Cluster in the Chancellor's Faculty Excellence Program.

I consider myself a research data scientist: one part mathematician, one part data scientist, one part everything else.

I enjoy using and developing modeling paradigms for complex phenomona and data.  Approaches I have employed have included Partial and Ordinary Differential Equation (PDE, ODE), and discrete models, and more recently unsupervised (tensor and multi-view) decomposition methods coupled with supervised predictive algorithms for complex datasets.

I have worked closely with biomedical research scientists to apply these methods to analyze and modeling problems and processes in biomedicine, including tumor growth and interaction with microenvironment, intracellular cancer cell signaling, cancer immunotherapy, and immune response.
