Welcome to my site! I'm a Research Staff Member at the Institute for Defense Analyses. I also hold a Courtesy Professor appointment at the University of Florida Laboratory for Systems Medicine.
Update: I will be starting a new position at NC State University in the Fall of 2026 as an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department. I will also be affiliated with the Translational Predictive Biology Cluster in the Chancellor's Faculty Excellence Program. More to come soon!
I consider myself a research data scientist: one part mathematician, one part data scientist, one part everything else.
I enjoy using and developing modeling paradigms for complex phenomona and data. Approaches I have employed have included Partial and Ordinary Differential Equation (PDE, ODE), and discrete models, and more recently unsupervised (tensor and multi-view) decomposition methods coupled with supervised predictive algorithms for complex datasets.
